“Every reed plays. They breathe with you.”

“I’ve been endorsed by González since 2007, and their cane remains the most sonically pure and harmonically alive in the world—without question. The physical integrity of the cane, the consistency of the cuts, and the genius of their quarter sizing in the Red Box line make González the modern standard.

The harmonic spectrum these reeds unlock is extraordinary—the depth, warmth, and overtone clarity push the horn into its most natural resonance. González reeds don’t just respond; they breathe with you. They translate intention directly into sound—pure, centered, and alive.”

About Logan

Growing up in Kansas City, Missouri, Logan Richardson discovered jazz in the heart of the historic 18th and Vine district. By age 16, he was already performing with the Kansas City Symphony and jazz legend Jimmy Heath, blending classical precision with improvisational freedom.

At 19, he broadened his horizons at Berklee College of Music in Massachusetts, and shortly after earned a full scholarship to The New School University in New York City. Arriving just weeks before 9/11, Logan spent the next decade in NYC, performing and recording with Nasheet Waits, Stefon Harris, Greg Tardy, Joe Chambers, Billy Hart, Jason Moran, Butch Morris, NEXT Collective, Michelle Rosewoman, Gerald Clayton, and the World Saxophone Quartet—while building his own projects, releasing Cerebral Flow (2006) and Ethos (2008).

Following time in Spain and Paris, Logan’s Blue Note Records debut, SHIFT (2015), captured his global experiences. Returning to Kansas City, he released PEOPLE (2018), exploring the human experience through jazz, and debuted the project on NPR’s Tiny Desk.

In 2019, Logan launched WAX Industry, his own label and distribution hub. His fifth album, AFROFUTURISM (2020), pushes musical boundaries with sci-fi-inspired narratives and deep Afro-diasporic roots, showcasing his multi-instrumental skills and visionary production.

Beyond music, Logan founded Culture Folk, a tech platform for cultural arts, now live on iOS and Android. With over 50 recordings to his credit, Logan continues to redefine modern jazz—merging tradition, innovation, and cultural storytelling.
