Featuring a classic French-style cut without filing, the RC reed offers a particularly elastic scraping and shallow shoulders with a closed half-moon shape—helping maintain pitch while maximizing flexibility.

Crafted from cane segments of 4.0 mm, rectified to 3.5 mm, the scraping sits in the most vibrant part of the reed, resulting in a brilliant, lively tone. The cane is aged for a minimum of 18 months and sourced exclusively from Gonzalez Reeds’ single-origin plantations, ensuring consistent fiber structure, tonal balance, and manufacturing quality.
